All of our saltwater fly assortment kits are built one at a time and we adjust the selection according to the time of year, information we get from our returning anglers, the lodge manager and the guides.

Having lived in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico for 5 years, I am well versed in the fly selections for fishing the baby tarpon, snook and all the other predators in the area. The beauty of Holbox and all of the other lodge choices around the northern 1/3 of the Yucatan is that there are big tarpon here also.
Weighted streamer patterns are the norm for the big guys while toad flies are a must for the small tarpon. Try using the white toads around the mangroves where the birds sit. Baby tarpon feed on the bird droppings.
We do make adjustments to update our selections as we get feedback from the lodges and fishermen returning from the area.
