All of our saltwater fly assortment kits are built one at a time and we adjust the selection according to the time of year, information we get from our returning anglers, the lodge manager and the guides.

The Turneffe Flats fly assortment and the Turneffe Island Lodge fly assortment are the same fly selections. These two fantastic fishing lodges are only 18 miles apart and anglers fish the same sort of oceanside flats on a regular basis. Having managed one of these lodges gives us at Blackfly an advantage of months and months of experience in knowing what to use when. Our fly assortments consist of smaller charlies, squimps and other light flies to catch the bonefish up on the shallow flats on the East side of the atoll. There are tarpon in the channels and occasionally on the flats plus there is great school permit fishing on the inside over the grass and tailing permit on the outside flats almost all year. Any kit should have flies for all situations plus leaders from 10lb. to 20lb. for the bones and permit and tarpon leaders for the big guys.
